Abstract

Dental avulsion is defined as the complete displacement of a tooth from its socket in the alveolar bone; It is considered one of the most traumatic dental injuries. The use of alternative storage solutions, such as propolis, egg white, coconut water, has been recommended. However, milk could be considered as the most appropriate storage medium for avulsed teeth.  The main objective of this study was to describe a clinical case of a patient suffering from this trauma and its treatment. It was a male patient, 30 years old, with a history of good health, who suffered a direct trauma to the tooth with the back of a drill, causing the avulsion of RE 1.1. He came to the clinic with the tooth in gauze, which was immediately placed in milk for reimplantation. In addition, the patient was sent drug treatment that includes antibiotics and anti-inflammatory. Patient follow-up is maintained.
