Educational multimedia on ischemic heart disease for medical students

Abstract

Introduction: health information technologies can stimulate knowledge innovation through devices and equipment. Educational multimedia constitute a learning resource focused on improving quality and efficiency in Medical Sciences. Objective: to prepare an educational multimedia on Ischemic Heart Disease for the development of knowledge in Medicine students. Method: multimedia is informative, educational, which manages dynamic content in various formats and supports the research process for Medicine students. The platform used is WordPress, a web content manager, with a Xampp server. It is a versatile and lightweight platform, with a minimalist design that allows it to be accessed locally and internationally through a Web URL and available on all computing devices. Results: multimedia favored the teaching and learning process by providing information, encouraging research interest, it consists of several sections that allowed grouping the theoretical knowledge on Ischemic Heart Disease. Conclusions: it turned out to be a dynamic learning tool, easy to use due to its scientific nature, it facilitates and provides educational skills in the training of medical students.
