Abstract

Introduction: the subarachnoid hemorrhage generates high morbidity and mortality in affected people. Objective: to determinate the factors associated to the lethality of the primary subarachnoid hemorrhage in-patient discharged from the attributed services of health to the urgency of center in the hospital Dr. AgostinhoNeto during the biennium 2022-2023. Methods: one carries out an observational, analytic, traverse study, case – control type. All the patient discharged was studied (n = 45) of the urgency center in the hospital Dr. AgostinhoNeto during the 2022-2023 with diagnose of primary subarachnoid hemorrhage. They were studied the state to the discharge, age, sex, comorbidity, clinical manifestations, graveness of the patient, complications, therapeutic pillars. For each variable was performed descriptive statistical analysis, in a frequency distribution. Was applied bivariate analysis, comparing epidemiological and clinical variables with patient mortality. Results: the factors more associated to the probability of dying were: multiorgan fail (OR 34,00 [3,88; 97,71]p= 0,0000), rebleeding (OR 23,07 [4,21; 78,91]p = 0,0000), Hunt and Hess scale grades IV-V (OR 16,61 [3,65; 77,78]p = 0,0000), and Glasgow scale same or inferior 8 points (OR 16,16 [3,65; 77,78]p = 0,0000). Conclusions: the factors more associated to the lethality of the primary subarachnoid hemorrhage were the presentation of multiorgan fail, scale Hunt and Hess grades IV-V, re bleeding and the use of invasive mechanics ventilation.
