Abstract

Cuba cuenta con un número importante de revistas científicas en Ciencias de la Salud, las cuales pertenecen tanto a sociedades científicas, universidades u hospitales; todas ellas de Acceso Abierto. Las revistas médicas cubanas, coordinadas por la Editorial Ciencias Médicas (Ecimed), se encuentra alineada a las políticas de la red SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) que busca lograr una ciencia abierta. La ciencia abierta se encuentra sustentada por varios pilares, orientados a un acceso gratuito y sin restricciones a la información (Open Access), acceso abierto a los datos (Open Data), a las publicaciones (open papers), así como los procesos de revisión abierta (open peer review).
